MATTHEW THIEL JOINS EUBANK & BETTS, PLLC

Matthew Thiel recently joined the CPA firm of Eubank & Betts, PLLC as a Senior Accountant in the firm's tax and audit departments. He graduated from The University of Mississippi with a Master of Taxation in May of 2008. Previously employed with a CPA firm in Birmingham, Alabama as an accountant, Mr. Thiel has two years of experience in tax and auditing.

WILLIAM L. EUBANK, JR., CPA - MSCPA PUBLIC SERVICE AWARD WINNER

William L. Eubank, Jr., CPA received the Mississippi Society of CPAs Public Service Award at the 2010 Annual Convention and Business Meeting in Destin, Florida.

The MSCPA Public Service Award annually honors an individual who has made a difference to the community through their commitment to public service. Nominees for the award are evaluated on their diversity of service activities over an extended period and on their level of leadership and initiative. Qualifying activities for the award include service clubs, church work, children's programs, economic development and public service.

Mr. Eubank presently serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Baptist Health Systems.

JENNIFER M. SCOTT JOINS EUBANK & BETTS

Jennifer M. Scott recently joined the CPA firm of Eubank & Betts, PLLC as an Accountant in the firm's tax department. She graduated summa cum laude from Mississippi College with a BSBA in Accounting in December 2008. Ms. Scott is currently pursuing her MBA from Mississippi College.

TRAVIS MITCHELL JOINS EUBANK & BETTS

Travis Mitchell recently joined the CPA firm of Eubank & Betts, PLLC as an Accountant in the firm's tax and audit departments. He graduated from The University of Southern Mississippi with a BSBA in Accounting and Human Resource Management. Previously employed with a CPA firm in Mississippi as a Staff Accountant, Mr. Mitchell has three years of experience in tax and auditing.

J. FRANK BETTS ELECTED ASSOCIATION INTERNATIONAL CHAIRMAN

(Jackson, MS) J. Frank Betts, Managing Member of the Jackson based firm of Eubank & Betts, PLLC, was elected Chairman of the International Board of Directors of CPA Associates International, Inc. at the annual meeting in Phoenix, Arizona. He will serve a two-year term as the Chairman.

CPA Associates International, Inc. is an association of accounting firms comprised of 144 firms and 285 offices worldwide with 52 members in the United States and 92 Members in 70 foreign counties. The Association assists firms in all areas of their accounting and consulting practices.

The association of accounting firms, of which our firm has been a member for many years, is a wonderful organization of outstanding CPA firms," said Mr. Betts. Mr. Betts is a founding member of Eubank & Betts, PLLC. His audit, tax and accounting experience allows him to serve the firm's clients in these areas. He is also the Director-in-Charge of Peer Review Services and assists many U.S. CPA Firms in complying with the standards in the quality of their audit and accounting practices. His experience as an auditor, co-authorship of "Guide to Auditor's Reports" and many years of service on AICPA and MSCPA boards and technical committees has earned the firm recognition as a leader in the public accounting profession.

BRADLEY TOMPKINS JOINS EUBANK & BETTS, PLLC

 

Bradley Tompkins has joined the CPA firm of Eubank & Betts, PLLC as a Senior Accountant. Tompkins currently attends South University and will graduate in May 2009 with a BSBA in Accounting.  Tompkins was previously employed with a Houston, Texas CPA firm as a Staff Auditor.

DIANNE CARLTON JOINS CPA'S EUBANK & BETTS

 

Dianne F. Carlton has joined the CPA firm of Eubank & Betts in the firm's Small Business Services Department. She brings years of experience in accounting to the firm. She will specialize in Small business Services, including QuickBooks Consulting and Training, Payroll Services and Bookkeeping Services.

BECKY WHITE JOINS CPA's EUBANK & BETTS

 

Becky White has joined the CPA firm of Eubank & Betts, PLLC as Marketing Director. She will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies as well as maintaining the company's public relations. Other responsibilities will include research; seminar and workshop development; creation of brochures, proposals and ads; website planning and implementation; and event planning. White's previous marketing experience includes eight years with a professional firm and nine years with a local environmental engineering firm.

Rachel K. Gaines has joined the CPA firm of Eubank & Betts, PLLC as a Staff Accountant. Gaines is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi where she received a B.S.B.A. cum laude in Accounting in May 2007. She will specialize in Accounting and Assurance Services.

Green has joined the CPA firm of Eubank & Betts, PLLC in the firm's Small Business Services Department. She was formerly Manager of Small Business Services in a CPA firm in Savannah, Georgia. She has over 25 years experience and is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor. She will specialize in Small Business Services, including QuickBooks Consulting and Training, Payroll Services and Bookkeeping Services.
